HIGH TENSILE

High-tensile is bar none the best fencing choice when you consider price versus quality and lifespan.  This fence can be made to hold any type of animal.  Anywhere from 3 to 10 wires can be added with as many of these wires electrified as needed.  High-Tensile is also an extremely attractive fence with a clean look and it's the most affordable.  Many say this fence can last up to 50 years if it is maintained properly.

We offer many different options and combinations of high tensile fence.  In our opinion this is by far and away the best choice for cattle fence.  It also works well for horses that are not flighty.  As any contractor will tell you, the price of your particular project will depend on the layout and scope of the area needing fenced.  Here are a few options and examples for materials and installation.  Please keep in mind the following prices are examples only of simple 4 sided layouts.

Due to the volitile fuel and steel prices, we currently are unable to keep accurate pricing examples on the webpage.  Please email or give us a call.  Some guidelines to follow if you are trying to figure out the cost without speaking to us are:

  •  More linear feet=lower price per foot
  • If possible, keep your gates in corners or at the ends.
  • Small lots and paddocks take a lot of time and increase cost drastically
  • Avoid as many direction changes as possible
  • The basic idea is a large pasture with few gates and straight lines is going to be much less costly per foot than a barn lot with many gates and small paddocks.

The above numbers are examples only, but might be able to give you a rough idea of what the fence might cost.  An almost unlimited number of combinations of posts, post spacing, number of wires and hot wires are available.   When considering post spacing, the most important factors are the traffic the fence will see and the animals to be kept in (or out).  A small area needs closer posts which will drive up the price, but on the other hand a larger area can have posts spaced up to 40 or 50 feet apart which will obviously lower price significantly.  Give us a call, we can help.
